We are transcribing here all the Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates that we have accumulated over the last few years, either through purchasing them or from the scans/photocopies/transcripts that people have very kindly sent us.
If you would like copies of the originals (where we have them) please get in touch and I will email you a copy free of charge.
Any contributions that anyone may have for this section would be very greatly appreciated, particularly any Stables certificates that you may have purchased by 'mistake'.
The General Register Office Index
We also have a complete transcript of every Stables entry from the GRO Index from the beginning through to 2003. You can use the index to find the birth, marriage or death record for anyone with the surname Stables and then purchase a copy of the certificate.
Obtaining Copies
If you don't find the certificates you want here, you can purchase copies of the originals from St. Catherine's House or directly from the Register Office at which the Birth/Marriage/Death was registered.
It is much cheaper and quicker to request copies directly from the local register office and only the Name/Year are required. The full GRO Index Number (District, Volume & Page No.) are unnecessary.
Certificates can still be obtained for £6.50 per certificate from local offices. They can also be ordered on-line for a fee of £10 via the General Register Office web-site.
If you do purchase copies of certificates, please let us have copies for the web-site, so that we can save others the expense.
